What We Do

We install and replace safety bollards for commercial and industrial properties. Our standard bollard is a steel-pipe core set in a concrete-filled sleeve with a concrete or polymer cap — designed to stop a vehicle at low speed and deflect higher-speed impacts. We match cap and color finish to your property aesthetics, including powder-coated steel covers in standard safety yellow or custom colors. Common applications include retail and restaurant storefronts where drive-through accidents are a risk, gas station canopy corners, parking lot islands, ATM and service window protection, and ADA-compliant pedestrian path separation. We handle the concrete core-drilling and sleeve installation as part of the job.

Don't Let A Failing Bollard Become A Lawsuit.

Bollards protect people, property, and your insurance premiums. When one fails, you want the replacement fast and correct.

  • Storefront Damage — One vehicle impact can cost more than years of bollard maintenance combined.
  • Pedestrian Injury — Missing or failed bollards create foreseeable injury — and foreseeable liability.
  • Insurance Exposure — Carriers increasingly ask about bollard inspection records.
  • Code Compliance — Storefront and drive-through codes often require bollards on specific elevations.

Our Process

  1. Site review and layout

We walk the property to identify impact risk areas, check for subsurface utilities before any drilling, and mark proposed bollard locations with you.

  2. Core drilling and sleeve installation

Holes are drilled to spec, sleeves are set and aligned, and concrete is poured. Curing time is factored into the schedule.

  3. Bollard installation and finishing

Steel cores are set, caps installed, and paint or powder-coat cover applied. Adjacent pavement is patched and finished clean.

  4. Inspection

We verify alignment, confirm cap fit and finish, and walk the installation with you before completion.

Representative Projects

  • Retail storefront protection — 6 concrete-filled steel pipe bollards with yellow powder-coat covers, set 4 feet from the storefront, 1 day.
  • Gas station canopy corner protection — 4 heavy-gauge bollards at each canopy corner after a prior vehicle strike removed the original posts, 2 days.
  • Parking lot ATM protection — 3 bollards around a freestanding ATM with curb-colored caps, half a day.

Common Questions About Concrete Bollards

What is a bollard actually made of?

Our standard installation is a steel pipe (typically 4–6 inch schedule 40 or 80 depending on the application) set in a concrete-filled sleeve that is core-drilled into the existing pavement. The steel core and the embedded concrete together provide the impact resistance. Surface covers are powder-coated steel or heavy polymer.

Can you match the bollard color to our property?

Yes. Standard options are safety yellow, black, and galvanized. Custom powder-coat colors are available for covers. We discuss finish options during your estimate.

How much of the pavement do you have to disturb?

Core drilling removes a roughly 8–10 inch diameter circle of pavement per bollard. We patch the surrounding area cleanly after the sleeve is set. On most installs the work area per bollard is very contained.

Do you check for utilities before drilling?

Yes. We call for utility locates before any drilling work begins. The locating service typically requires 48–72 hours advance notice, which we factor into the project schedule.
